BUGGY’S CIRCUS TICKET
Personal Project, April 2021
This is a merch design for Comicup28, a comic convention in China. I designed this ticket based on character Buggy the clown from Onepiece, who opened a circus.

ADRESTIAN TRIO ACRYLIC PINS
Digital fabrication, April 2022
This is the final project I made for the class digital fabrication. Class grading: A. I designed the acrylic pins based on the characters from the game Fire Emblem: 3 Houses
I used Adobe Illustrator to draw the design, and used the laser cutter to cut acrylic boards and assembled them together.
Through this experience, I am now very familiar with how to draw in AI and how to use the laser cutter. This artwork also shows my design ability of designing merch for existed IPs.
I came up the idea of designing a real ticket for this virtual circus. Then, I contacted the factories on Taobao to achieve the exact effect I want (with engrave).
As a fan-based merch, my design was very popular at the convention. I sold it at the price of the cost and sold about 100+ tickets (which was very surprising as Buggy is not a popular character). There are still people on SNS asking me to make more of it!

FE3H STAINED GLASS

This is also for the final project of Digital Fabrication. Acrylic stained glass, designed by me (based on characters Edelgard and Hubert from FE3H) using Adobe Illustrator, made using laser cutter.
It was difficult assembling all the small parts together and I tried different materials to test the transparency and make sure they will not fall apart.

FE3H WOODEN SCUPTURE

This is a wooden sculpture designed by me based on an art I made before. I decided to make a real wooden frame for it and used Adobe Illustrator to process the file and used the laser cutter to cut it. I set up different layers of the path in AI so that the laser cutter cuts different part with different depth, making the frame more 3D. Then, I calculated the right size and printed the original art on a paper to combine them together. It is easy to make as soon as the original file is designed, which makes it a perfect merch that people in this fandom will like. (In fact, a lot of people on SNS asked me to make & sell it).
